There was a planning meeting in Richlands on Saturday 3-24-2007. Business handled included some ideas and decisions about venues, times, and price-points. The biggest issue was brought up concerned the tentative date of August 24, 25--it turns out to be the same as the 'fall' race at Bristol. We are today learning about other available dates this fall with home games.
For the Friday night chosen, we will plan on a tailgate before a football games including grilling some dogs. Once we determine the date, we will take care of getting the parking lot for tailgate as well as reserving sections of the bleachers for 1997 reunioners. For Saturday evening, a banquet-style party will be held at SVCC (pending date availability) and will be family-inclusive. We are in the process of planning an after-party that is feasible within budget limitations.
